Beijing’s answer to Disneyland, The Wonderland Amusement park was abandoned in 1998 because of haggling of land prices that stopped its construction. The amusement park may soon be demolished however to make way for a shopping mall.

The town of Kolmanskop in Namibia was founded by German prospectors looking for precious stones in 1900. The town was abandoned sometime in the 1950 and though a museum was established in 1980, it still remains as one of the most abandoned and creepy ghost towns on earth.
