In November 1941, an Australian cruiser, HMAS Sydney was destroyed in a battle with the German Cruiser, Kroman. All but one of the 645 crew on board was killed. The remaining crew member was found floating off Christmas Island’s Flying Fish Cove. Although DNA analysis had established that man was a Caucasian with red hair, pale skin and Blue eyes, his identity and name is yet to be known. He had 2 missing teeth and 9 gold filings. Since the dental records of the rest of the crew members did not match, he is still an enigma whose identity is a mystery even today.
